Costco Wholesale Corporation Reports September Sales Results

ISSAQUAH, Wash., Oct. 09, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Costco Wholesale Corporation (“Costco” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: COST) today reported net sales of $24.62 billion for the retail month of September, the five weeks ended October 6, 2024, an increase of 9.0 percent from $22.59 billion last year.

Comparable sales were as follows:

This year's total and comparable sales for the retail month of September benefitted by approximately two percent in the U.S. and one and one-half percent worldwide as a result of the increased sales in the final week of the month due to abnormal consumer activity associated with Hurricane Helene and port strikes.
